Considering that water took precedence over food in medieval castles, it is no coincidence that the well was hidden behind two massive gates - a \"secret insurance\" with water placed right in the heart of the defense line.<\/p>\n

Establishment:<\/strong> Although the exact date of construction is uncertain, the stonework indicates a long period of use from Byzantine to Ottoman.<\/p>\n
