EIA reports required for the thermal power plant planned to be established in Amasra, environment and urban ministry Approved by
Bartın Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization announced that the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for the ash storage area and filling area and project required for the thermal power plant it plans to establish in Amasra has been approved by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. In the written statement made by the Bartın Provincial Directorate, it was stated that the environmental impact assessment requested for the thermal power plant was examined and evaluated by the General Directorate of Permission and Inspection.
In the statement, it was stated that the said EIA reports for the thermal power plant planned to be established were evaluated positively within the scope of the 14th article and 1st provisional article of the EIA regulation. “The EIA report submitted by our Ministry to the General Directorate of Permission and Inspection regarding the thermal power plant, ash storage area, port filling area and dock project planned to be built by the contractor company in the Capak Bay location, within the borders of Gömü village and Tarlaağzı village of Amasra district of our province, analyzed and evaluated. Within the scope of article 14 and provisional article 1 of the EIA regulation, our ministry has given a 'positive environmental impact assessment' decision. A written statement was made that it is necessary to comply with the final EIA report of the project in question and the issues specified in its annexes, as well as the relevant provisions of the regulations that came into force pursuant to the Environmental Law No. 2872.
