Amasra Mayor M.Emin Timur has announced the date on which he will leave his post by not being a candidate again in the upcoming 31 March local elections.he adds.
Mayor Timur came together with the Municipality Employees and made a farewell speech, with the sadness of not being able to fulfill the promise he made to the Workers 10 years ago. Mayor Timur said at the session held in the Amasra Municipality Meeting Hall, “I made a promise in 2009, some of our friends among you are witnesses of this promise. I said that the workers will receive their salaries before their sweat dries, I promised this. Unfortunately, I am saddened by not being able to achieve this. I could not achieve this during my two terms as Mayor. I stated that in exchange for my candidacy again in the upcoming March 31 elections, the workers' salaries would be paid and that I could become a candidate again if this was promised. However, since I could not get the promise of this, I did not run for Mayor again.
